Building Community Partnerships with Your Police Department

Community Policing is a growing movement that emphasizes building positive relationships between officers and their communities. This presentation will go over the complexities around partnering with police departments and different programs you can host, from therapy dog events to pickle forensics. Community policing dogs, Chase and Hodges, will be present for a live demonstration and puppy snuggles.

Care and Feeding of Your Makerspace

Makerspaces are no longer in their infancy, but fully functioning service points. However, for libraries adding, expanding, or maintaining a makerspace, the path forward is often not well established.
